Comedy is not everyone’s cup of tea. Bollywood actresses particularly aren’t known to be funny in front of the camera.

When was the last time you saw an actress doing rib-tickling comedy. Lara Dutta in No Entry? Or Kareena Kapoor in Golmaal Returns? Nope! When it comes to making the audiences laugh, it is men who take the lead while the girls, sadly, are relegated to being cosmetic beauties on celluloid.

Now, Deepika Padukone has taken the challenge to show her comic flair. And she is looking forward to stand out in a cast ensemble that has certified rib-ticklers like Akshay Kumar and Ritesh Deshmukh.

Yup! We are talking about director Sajid Khan’s next film House Full. Deepika’s role in the movie is not superficial. It is a properly etched part with a lot of comic moments. But the question that begs to be asked is whether she would be able to match the comic timing of Akshay.

The actress says she is determined to give it her best shot.
