Biography – Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone, was born on the 5th of January, 1986 in Copenhagen. Deepika Padukone is the daughter of former badminton champion Prakash Padukone.  Deepika Padukone’s mother is a travel agent & he's a more youthful. Deepika Padukone has a younger sister named Anisha. Deepika Padukone completed her schooling from Sophia's High School, Bangalore. Deepika modeling for print & tv promotion campaigns from her school days. Deepika completed her under-graduate studies from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore.

She has to her credit brands like for Liril soap, Dabur, Close-Up toothpaste & Limca. After receiving lots of prestigious modeling offers, including the brand ambassadorship of the Jewels of India, an annual jewellery exhibition, he hit the international scene when Maybelline made her their new international cover girl face.

She took a break from modeling by starring in the music video for Naam Hai Tera-Tera, a song from the pop album Aap Ka Suroor, an independent album by Himesh Reshammiya.

Later Deepika Padukone made her cinematic debut from a Kannada film, named Aishwarya, starring kannada super-star Upendra. The film was  directed by Indrajit Lankesh. The film had a great opening and had a grand success at the box-office, and Deepika has received rave reviews for her screen presence. Deepika made her Bollywood debut in Farah Khan’s second directorial venture, Om Shanti Om, opposite Shahrukh Khan . In the film, she's been depicted as a 70s superstar Shantipriya and later as Sandy. Om Shanti Om was released on November 9, 2007. The film had a great opening and was the highest grossing film of the year 2007. Inspite of Shahrukh Khan in the film Deepika was noticed and appreciated by the industry and the audience.
